On February 25, 1999, in the city of Zhodino, by decision of the city executive committee, a circle for patriotic education of youth «Vector» was created.
The «Vector» circle was created with the aim of conducting military-patriotic events with pre-conscription youth, strengthening patronage ties with military units, preparing young men for military service, and also due to the fact that the work on patriotic education of youth is an integral part of the entire complex of educational work with young people.
Prevention of neglect, crime, and delinquency among minors is the main task of the circle, and is impossible without the combined efforts of all interested departments.
The circle organizes work in the following areas:
- Direct work with cadets of the circle to study the fundamentals of military affairs together with the Smolevichesky united organizational structure of DOSAAF.
- Pre-conscription training of young men-students of general education institutions in Zhodino through:
- Days of Defenders of the Fatherland in educational institutions;
- paramilitary training with high school students;
- excursions of students to 72 educational centers;
- paramilitary relay races between teams from city and district schools;
- demonstrations of military training videos;
- organizing joint events with military units.
